Support our beneficiaries and champion causes in the communities in which we operate, aligned with our long-term vision for positive change
To make a direct and immediate impact on communities facing daily challenges to meet basic needs, our Group has been working closely with beneficiaries like Food Bank and Willing Hearts where volunteers help to prepare meals as well as pack and distribute food bundles to those in need.
In January 2025, 14 of our volunteers spent an entire afternoon packing Festive Packs at the 2nd edition of Community Chest's Habuan Harapan event. It encourages partners to give back to the community by packing and distributing festive bags (“A Gift of Hope”) to uplift the lives of seniors and lower-income families during Hari Raya. This year’s event was part of a series of SG60 initiatives and have rallied over 600 volunteers to pack and deliver more than 7,000 festive bags.
Our volunteers also worked with Food Bank on their Joy in Every Bundle programme where volunteers packed and distribute food packs filled with necessity items like canned food, rice, biscuits etc to the residents staying in rental flats. While some volunteers chose to volunteer their time at Food Bank’s warehouse to help pack, sort and arrange donated food items.
Other teams also signed up for Willing Hearts’ kitchen duties where they had to join a four-hour food preparation session at their central kitchen. Even though it was end-to-end action that include chopping vegetables, peeling onions and washing other food items, most of our volunteers found it fulfilling that they could be part of the team that prepares and delivers ~10,000 daily meals to needy and marginalised people in Singapore.
