Our Group fosters educational excellence and nurtures future talent through various initiatives and support for students, reflecting our commitment to the importance of education and the development of tomorrow's leaders.
A scholarship and mentoring programme was started in 2022 by our maritime team from PaxOcean for students in Graha, Batam (Indonesia) and is still continuing today. By providing financial support and mentorship opportunities, it supports promising young talents to pursue their academic and career aspirations.
Over the years, the scholars participated in various mentoring workshops organised under the Pelajar Tangguh Scholarship Programme. They also attended various workshops under the Mentoring Programme led by DT Peduli Batam, the non-profit organisation and partner for the Programme.
Several workshops centred around student behaviour where mentors highlighted qualities that make and build good and strong characters, focusing on the traits of honesty, humility, discipline and resilience. Others focused on imparting life-mapping skills to help students find purpose and motivation as they chart their future achievement plans.
Stepping out of the classroom setting, the students also participated in a "Public Environment Cleanliness" workshop where they helped with the general cleaning, sweeping and collection of litter in the public areas of Ruko Cipta Grand City, Tanjung Uncang. In 2024, short courses on hair shaving and cooking, financial control and public speaking were also conducted.
We hope to continue to support the students in their education journey through active engagement in workshops and activities to empower them with the right skills and positive mindset.
